This week's photo topic was Nature.
I was very excited about this and honestly I hard time choosing. Between the snow on Tuesday and our amazing trip to San Francisco on Saturday it was a real toss up. I love nature pictures, trees, sunsets, oceans, open fields, wild flowers all of these things are fun to photograph. If I knew how to I would have photographed the moon, it looks incredible from up here on our hill. However, I don't know how to do that and I had plenty of other amazing things to choose from.
Here is my official entry. It is an edited version of picture I took from up on a grassy wooded cliff that overlooks the Pacific ocean. It was incredible. Can you see the rock formations out in the water?
I love California.
Here is the unedited photo. Lightroom is amazing. If I was more experienced I'm sure I could have done a better job editing it, although I honestly really like the very dark original. Something about the black silhouettes of the trees against the backdrop of the sky and the ocean, I kind of love it.
What do you think? Edited or original?

I'll have more pictures up tomorrow from our day trip to San Francisco, mine and D's first time there.

Love that you showed edited and unedited! Makes me want Lightroom! Such a great picture! We need to add moon to the list!
ReplyDeleteI've got to say I love the edited version better. Something about that vibrant green moss/grass that gets me. Makes me really want to go back to California ASAP.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool picture!
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say though I like the original, you did a great job with the editing and I'm loving your edited pic. :)
Gorgeous! California really is pretty. We definitely need to do a week showing edits vs non edited. I love it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love California too. I don't wanna live anywhere else!!
ReplyDeleteI love San Fran!
ReplyDeleteedited version is so nice, but I also like the mystery in the raw version. how do you edited it?
